Featured Artist :: Pause Designs

pause designs

This week's featured artist is Pause Designs!

Pause Designs - Malls suck. Support underground.

Senioritis: Name and location please.
Pause Designs: Ken, Andrew, Eric. St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada.
Senioritis: What's up guys, looks like we have some new friends from north of the border, eh!

Senioritis: For starters, can you tell us a little about Pause?
Pause Designs: We are a streetwear brand out of Southern Ontario, consisting of three artists that met in high school. We specialize in unique limited edition t-shirts and other apparel.
Senioritis: That's awesome! We're trying to get back into the apparel side of things as well.

Senioritis: How would you describe Pause's style?
Pause Designs: Streetwear with cartoon surrealist content.
Senioritis: Sounds pretty unique, your designs are great!

Senioritis: Any favorite colors?
Pause Designs: We don't see in colours, man. We are all equal.
Senioritis: Fair enough.

everything you ever wanted v neck
Senioritis: Righty or Left?
Pause Designs: Neither.
Senioritis: Didn't know that was possible, more power to ya.

Senioritis: Do the guys over at Pause have a favorite quote?
Pause Designs: Everything in this video.
Senioritis: Yeah buddy!! Nothin to it but to do it, we couldn't have said it better ourselves.

Senioritis: If you could have lunch with someone famous, past or present, who would it be?
Pause Designs: How about Batman? We'd like to know what he's eating, y'know? How does he keep such a trim figure? We bet it's a lot of fiber. Maybe a steroid sandwich or two, or no carbs after 8pm, or something like that. Plus, you know the meal is going to be ritzy. The guy is a bazillionaire. And you get to meet his butler Alfred too! Not too shabby.
Senioritis: We have heard that the key to Batman's firm figure is watching the aforementioned Ronnie Coleman video 6 times each morning before going to the gym and from what we gather chasing bad guys is a pretty good cardio workout.

Senioritis: What's your favorite cartoon, from now or when you were a kid?
Pause Designs: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We always thought that playing with radioactive ooze was a bad thing, the Turltes taught us otherwise. (Andrew was totally Casey Jones for Halloween. Awesome).

Senioritis: Can't go wrong with the Turtles; we always found it interesting that they were named after Ranaissance masters. Any Casey Jones pictures?

Senioritis: Where do you see yourself and your business in 10 years?
Pause Designs: Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of you asking us this question!

Senioritis: Haha touche, we'll drink to that.

Senioritis: Any websites that we should know about?
Pause Designs: pausedesigns.com, pause designs on twitter, pause designs on facebook.

your wish is granted

Senioritis: Any shoutouts?
Pause Designs: Mel Smith, Chompsy, Ice Cube, Golden Horseshoe, Banana Snapple, The Hurt Locker (not the movie, the real locker), Tom Hanks (circa 1980's), Sleeping Giant Gallery, switch-blade combs, and anyone who has ever purchased one of our shirts, or said anything nice about us. You're making this dream job possible.

A big thanks to Ken, Andrew, and Eric for opening themselves up to us and our followers! Your work rocks! And a call to our readers, please check out Pause's shop for some really sweet artwork and apparel. In the words of some wise Canadians please remember: Malls suck. Support underground.

  3. We like that one as well Heather, but then again we like all of Pause's designs. Sofa King Rad kinda reminds us of our green with lazy design:
